You are invited to a complimentary presentation on Income Tax Reduction & Estate Tax Elimination featuring internationally recognized financial expert Rich Widdifield. Along with sharing tips on saving money while estate planning, you will also learn how to minimize or even Eliminate Taxes on your estate. You will also learn about how to change your Estate Plans in this virtual environment; to avoid Double Taxation on your “Red” retirement accounts, to bypass paying upfront Capital Gains Taxes when selling your investments, etc.

OLPH PARISH EDUCATION COMMITTEE ELECTION 2025

Please be advised to the following information as it relates to the May 24 & 25,  2025 election of the Parish Education Committee. Should you require further information please contact Robert Britch or the parish office at 604-224-4344 or parish.olph@rcav.org.

  1. We are currently looking for a person to fill one position of:

All nominations should be sent to Ryan Thomas and Louise Lo at the listed contact emails by no later than 4:30 pm Thursday May 15, 2025.

  1. Voting weekend and times:

Saturday May 24 – voting available up to 1 hour after:

  • 5pm Mass

Sunday May 25 – voting available to 1 hour after:

  • 9am Mass
  • 11am Mass
  • 5pm Mass

Contact the parish office—-anytime prior to the weekend of May 24/25, 2025 if you need / want to find out if you are on the Voters’ List and to determine if you are eligible to vote.

Returning officer:

Role and Function:

Votes shall be counted by the returning officer and the scrutineers. The ballots shall be kept for one week, allowing the recount if requested. At the end of this time, the ballots will be destroyed.

The returning officer, on counting the ballots, will record the number of votes each candidate received, thus indicating the order in which the candidates placed, and report these results in writing to the Education Committee over his/her signature and those of the scrutineers.

At our Parish, the first Sunday of the month from October till June is reserved for a special Children’s Mass. The dates in 2025 are: Feb 2,  Mar 2, Apr 6, May 4 and June 1, at the 9:00am Mass. All children are invited to sign up to help at this special Mass. They can be readers, greeters, gift bearers, ushers or being a choir member.
